Here's Our Why...
Leading to Inspire a Better Future
Young Leaders (YLVA) was founded by a group of educators who saw a growing need: our youth didn’t just need more structure—they needed someone to show up for them.

We believe that when leaders step into their purpose, young people rise with them. By placing positive role models where they’re needed most, we empower youth and young adults to grow, lead, and live with intention.
The Mission
YLVA connects at-risk youth to individuals who provide essential social, academic, individual and environmental support that creates pathways to success through faith-based mentorship and teaching job-readiness skills in media and technology.
Who We Serve
Who We Serve
YLVA supports youth in grades 6–12 in Chesterfield County, VA, with a focus on leadership, academic support, and social-emotional growth—while also equipping them with real-world technology and media skills to thrive in today’s digital world.

What Makes YLVA Different
Building Stronger Youth, One Relationship at a Time
At YLVA, our mentors and leaders aren’t just volunteers—they’re educators, coaches, and youth workers who understand what young people need. They bring real experience, real connection, and a real commitment to seeing kids grow.

We’re not just building a program. We’re building trust, purpose, and future leaders—one relationship at a time.
