OUR MISSION
YLVA connects at-risk youth to individuals who provide essential social, academic, individual and environmental support that creates pathways to success through faith-based mentorship and teaching job-readiness skills in media and technology.
HOW IT STARTED
Young Leaders was founded by a group of teachers who saw a need for mentors in its community. Placing leaders in their rightful places helps build and strengthen our youth and young adults to be inspired and live better lives.
CORE VALUES
We take pride in our core values of GRIHP — Goals, Respect, Integrity, Honesty, and Progress — as we teach our youth these same values that we believe helps to instill positive fundamentals and principles for a better future.
Mentorship
It all begins with mentorship and relationships. Our mentors work with small groups to provide essential social, academic & individual skills and environmental support. 
Technology
Preparing youth with job-readiness skills in media and technology by partnering with local schools, colleges and universities helps develop them for a bright future.
Influence
Our youth will be inspired to advocate for themselves and by learning self-advocacy while promoting healthy decision making and using life skills to create pathways to success.
